The purpose of the Rhode Island Partnership for Community Schools is to mobilize state resources in promotion of the community school model as a proven strategy for increasing student success.
The major goals of the RIPCS are to:
- The promotion of the community school model throughout the state with an active advisory board of public and private partners.
- Timely and effective communications about Child Opportunity Zones and community school developments both locally and nationally.
- Advocacy of the RI Child Opportunity Zones and the community school model at the state and local level.
- Assistance to emerging community school programs in the state through professional development, resource development and technical assistance.
